Bengaluru witnessed a shocking series of knife attacks late Saturday night in the bustling area of Indiranagar.

A man identified as Kadamba, a habitual criminal, injured four people, including two street food vendors and a bike taxi rider, before fleeing. The police have launched a city-wide hunt for him, assuring the public that the victims are out of danger.

Four Attacked by Knife-Wielding Suspect

According to authorities, the first attack occurred at around 9:30 p.m. when 19-year-old Jaswanth was confronted by Kadamba while riding his scooter. A heated argument led to the assailant slashing Jaswanth’s throat before escaping the scene.

Twenty minutes later, Kadamba targeted 24-year-old Deepak Kumar Verma, a street food vendor.

Reports suggest that an argument over food turned violent when the suspect pulled out a knife and slashed Verma’s neck. Witnesses in the area immediately raised an alarm, but Kadamba managed to escape.

Chaat Vendor Attacked Over Payment Dispute

At approximately 10:10 p.m., Kadamba approached Tammaiah M, a 44-year-old chaat vendor, demanding food.

When asked for payment, the suspect refused, insisting on using a UPI scanner. As tensions escalated, Kadamba attacked Tammaiah, slashing his face before fleeing the scene.

Early Morning Attack on Bike Taxi Rider

The final attack occurred at around 2:30 a.m. Kadamba stopped a bike taxi rider, Adil Aamirsab, requesting a ride to the railway station.

When Aamirsab declined, the suspect attacked him, slashing his neck and fingers before stealing his scooter and mobile phone.

Police Crack Down on the Knife-Wielding Attacker

Following the brutal spree, rumors of a serial killer spread across social media, causing widespread panic in the city. However, the police quickly dispelled these rumors, confirming that the attacks were the work of a single individual, Kadamba.

Authorities have registered four separate FIRs and are using CCTV footage to track the suspect. Special teams have been deployed to search for Kadamba in Bengaluru and nearby districts.

Criminal Record of the Suspect

Kadamba is no stranger to law enforcement, with at least six criminal cases pending against him.

His history includes burglary, assault, and robbery, primarily linked to thefts and alcohol-related offenses. Investigators believe his latest attacks were fueled by intoxication.
